Physical or Chemical Change?

Sodium chloride is a solid at room temperature. Put a pinch of it in water and it dissolves,

NaCl(s) → Na+(aq) + Cl-(aq).

Silver chloride also is a solid at room temperature. Put a pinch of it in water and nothing happens.

Mix standard solutions of NaNO3 and KCl and nothing happens.

Mix standard solutions of AgNO3 and KCl and a white precipitate forms,

Ag+(aq) + Cl-(aq→ AgCl(s).

Precipitating and dissolving are opposites. Given what you learned in Part One, do you think they are better classified as physical changes or chemical changes?
