As seasons change, the reflection properties of the ground alters as plants grow and moisture content changes.

This sequence of satellite images are taken over 1998 and 1999. The area is Devonport / Forth. Devonport is top right, Forth is bottom left. The Forth river is a clear line and the Bass Highway is easily recognisable.

Most images are Landsat while the 29 March 1999 is a SPOT image. Notice the better detail in the SPOT image.

These pictures have lost a great deal of information as they have been degraded to "web quality jpg types".

Colouring is "false", the colour key is given in the sequence animation, red is fast growth, green is slow growth areas.
